Accessibility Statement
Building humehealth.uk to work well for every visitor, whether they're here for the Hume Band 2.0 or the Hume Pod.
Last updated: July 2026
Hume Health cares about humehealth.uk and the shared Hume Health app being genuinely usable, including for people relying on assistive technology. Below is where things stand today, and how to flag anything that isn't working as it should.
What We're Aiming For
Our target is WCAG 2.1, Level AA, across the whole store. In practice, that means:
- Alt text that meaningfully describes informative images โ across both the Hume Band 2.0 and Hume Pod sections โ rather than filler text on purely decorative ones.
- Text-to-background contrast that stays legible throughout the site.
- Menus, forms and interactive elements โ the mobile menu, product selector and FAQ accordions included โ that work fully by keyboard.
- Structured HTML and ARIA labelling so screen readers correctly announce headings, buttons and page regions for each product.
- Layouts that hold together when someone increases text size or zooms in.
An Ongoing Job
This isn't a box we tick once โ the store keeps changing as content for both devices is updated, and our accessibility work moves alongside it. Spot a barrier anywhere on humehealth.uk or in the app? We genuinely want to know.
Reporting An Issue
Running into a problem with assistive technology anywhere on our store or app? Let us know, ideally with:
- Which page or app screen it happened on, and which device it relates to
- A short description of what went wrong
- The assistive technology, browser or device involved
We prioritise anything that blocks someone from browsing, learning about, or ordering either product.
Third-Party Components
Some parts of humehealth.uk โ checkout, for instance โ run through outside services. We choose partners who take accessibility seriously, though we can't fully control how they've built their own tools. If one of those components gives you trouble, tell us anyway and we'll push the vendor or find another way through for you.
