Privacy Policy
What's collected across the Hume Band 2.0, the Hume Pod and this UK store, why, and the control you have over it.
Last updated: July 2026
Health and body-composition data matters more than most other information you hand over, so this page sets out clearly what Hume Health gathers through humehealth.uk, the Hume Band 2.0, the Hume Pod and the shared Hume Health app, what we do with it, and the rights you hold as a UK customer under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. What We Collect
Information you give us directly
- Order essentials โ name, email, delivery address, payment details โ whenever you buy a Hume Band 2.0, a Hume Pod, or both, or set up an account.
- Whatever you tell us when you get in touch with support.
Information from the devices and app
- Biometric signals picked up by the Hume Band 2.0 โ heart rate, HRV, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep stages, movement โ that drive figures shown in the app, such as Metabolic Momentum and biological age.
- Body composition readings picked up by the Hume Pod โ weight, body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat, bone mass, body water and segmental data โ from every weigh-in.
- Standard diagnostic details โ device model, app version, general usage patterns โ kept purely to keep the service running smoothly.
2. What We Use It For
- Turning raw readings into the trends and insights shown in the app for either device.
- Processing orders, arranging UK delivery, and handling returns or warranty claims.
- Responding to support queries when you contact us.
- Improving sensor and algorithm accuracy over time, generally using de-identified or aggregated data.
- Sending order-related messages, and โ only if you've opted in โ occasional news about new products or offers.
3. You Stay In Control
Every reading either device collects belongs to you. Export your full history โ Band, Pod, or both โ from the Hume Health app whenever you like. Want your account and data removed entirely? Contact support and we'll action the request within 30 days, aside from a small set of records (order history, for example) we're legally required to keep.
4. Who Else Sees This Data
We do not sell health or body-composition data to anyone. It only leaves our systems in a narrow set of cases:
- Service providers โ payment processing, couriers, cloud hosting โ each under agreements limiting them to the task at hand.
- Where the law requires it โ a valid court order or regulatory request.
- If the business changes hands โ a sale, merger or acquisition โ with these same commitments carried forward.
5. How Your Data Is Protected
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, following standard industry practice, and access internally is limited to those who genuinely need it. No system is completely secure, but we hold ourselves to a higher bar given what's at stake with health data.
6. Cookies & Analytics
humehealth.uk uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the store is used so we can improve both product pages. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, though switching some off may affect how parts of the site work.
7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
As a UK resident, you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Every marketing email includes a one-click opt-out. Contact us using the details below to exercise any of these rights, and you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you feel your data hasn't been handled properly.
8. Children's Data
Our devices and this store aren't intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child's data has ended up in our systems, let us know and we'll remove it promptly.
9. International Transfers
Where data is processed outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to keep it protected to a UK GDPR standard, regardless of where it's held.
10. Changes To This Policy
We review this page periodically, and any update is reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes get a more direct notice too, via the app or by email.
